Bird Swing
Yes Rain! I am not sure whether it is here to stay but. The last few days have been a very pleasant change from the humid muggy weather we have been having and have even dragged the quilt out of the cupboard.
Today I would like to share with you a card that I made for a wonderful couple that have recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary made of course with her favourite colours. We also had the pleasure of joining them with their celebrations. It was a wonderful night filled with great music courtesy of brother in laws band. lovely food and great company. Luckily the weather was kind and they had an outside seating arrangement and everyone partied on till the wee hours.
For my card I chose to make an easel card and followed along with the current Tic Tac Toe challenge at Bizzy Becs . I have done - shaped card, flowers and lace/ribbon.
The image I chose is from Whimsy Wee a gorgeous digi stamp called "Bird Swing" which I have coloured with copics. The easel card was constructed using my Spellbinder die Labels 8 together with Petite Ovals, these can be preordered in store - here. Bec has a fabulous range of new Whimsy Stamps that are available for preorder so pop over and check them out - here. Paper, ribbon, lace and flowers are from my own stash. The sentiment was a freebie that I found on the internet at Nettys Cards here. The number sixty was from some chipboard alphas that I have in my stash and spritzed them with dylusions spray crushed grape.
I have made some other cards in the last few days so will be back in a few days to share them too.
Thanks so much from dropping bye.

Tic Tac Toe
Hi and welcome to April.
Hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and didn't over indulge too much on the choccies. For some of us it was a 5 day weekend which I have to say was fantastic. I made my own Hot Cross Buns for breakie on Good Friday too. We got most things done around the house I had a crafty morning catch up with our Copic colouring group and then had time to spend with family and friends. We didn't touch any of our chocolates over Easter as we over indulged in the food department and well were just a wee bit too full to eat eggs as well. However in the last week the choccies are slowly disappearing.
As it is a new month that means it is time for a new challenge over at Bizzy Becs. This month we have a Tic Tac Toe challenge so there are lots of combinations to choose from.
....for those who are unsure on what to do...
it's like playing Bingo-you choose the 3 squares that you wish to follow from the Tic-Tac-Toe Grid either going Across, Down or Diagonally in a Row.
ie :- Birthday - Dry Embossing - Lace or Ribbon...

The prize for this month is a
"CHEERY LYNN DIE"
"CHEERY LYNN DIE"
There is a fabulous selection available to order in the store here.
I have chosen to do do across the top line for my card (Punch/Die Cut, Colour Blue,Birthday)
The background has been done on watercolour paper using water colour crayons and I have used a Magnolia Stamp 'Largo the Dolphin' and for my dies I have used Memory Box Clouds, Swirly Tree for the Waves and Swaying Palm, and of course it is mounted onto blue bazzill , white cardstock and a blue bazzill card. I have coloured her using a new technique I have just learnt shading with dots. I am very happy with the way it has turned out and will be trying that technique out again.
There is a fabulous new collection of Magnolia Stamps available for preorder through the store here as well as Memory Box Dies here, together with lots of wonderful new items so pop on over.
There is some fabulous inspiration from my teamies this month so hop over and check them out and while you are there why not add your own creation using Mr Linky and be in the running to win this months fabulous prize.
Until next time, happy crafting
Karen
