Birthday Hugs....

Dropping in day today  to share my latest card.  It  has been so hot in my little craft space which has made it unbearable to sit in, so have very much enjoyed a few days that have been cooler and much better for crafting.

For my card, I had a first time play with a Penny Black stamp that I have had for a while now.  It has the most cutest little stamps, which made it so hard to choose which one to start with.

To create a little more interest,   I turned my card into a shaker and am loving how it turned out.

Supplies used:

Penny Black Transparent  Stamp - It's your day

Avery Elle Stamp & Die - Simply Said Hugs

Lawn Fawn Die - Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables

Lawn Fawn Die - Stitched Rectangle Frames

Copic Markers

Mouse: E31, E33 & W5

Balloon & Hat: RV00,RV02 & RV55

Mushroom: R24,R27,R37, E70, E71,E74

Grass: YG91,YG93, YG95

Dress my Crafts - Say it with  Heart Sequins

Stickles - Diamond

To create the shaker I cut four layers or the rectangle frame and glued 3 together, then inserted a piece of acetate and glued the top layer down.  One of the centre cutouts from the frame had a piece of patterned paper glued to it and then was attached to the Rectangle Stackable.  I placed a small amount of  "Say it with Hearts Sequins" from Dress My Craft onto the centre of the pattern paper and then glued the frame over the top.

Holiday Brushstrokes and Happy New Year...

Hi everyone.

I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and I wish you a safe and Happy New for 2021.

Today is the 5th of the month, which means it is the start of a new challenge month over at Bizzy Becs Store Challenge Blog.

For my card for this month I have used one of the new  thinlits released by Tim Holtz called Holiday Brushstrokes which was great fun to work with. For the leaves and berries I have used Distress Inks and created layers onto watercolour paper.

The inked backgrounds below were used to cut out the leaves, berries and sentiment.  When assembled I inked around the edges of everything with Ground Espresso, then added Glossy Accents to highlight the berries and Title
