Shaker Christmas Decoration...

Just popping in today to share with you my latest creation.  When I was making my mermaid card last month, I thought that  the circle frame die could make a cute shaker decoration to hang on a Christmas Tree or  it could be attached to a lavously wrapped gift.

So I had a play and am happy with the way it turned out.  It was a bit fiddly as you have to wait for each layer of glue to dry.

I cut two frames from white fun foam and two frames from white Bazzill cardstock and then I cut a circle from acetate.   The insert is a mixture of sequins, shaved glass and small gold and silver stars.

Supplies used:
Memory Box Die - Shaker Circle Framers
Memory Box DiePoinsettia Bloom Trio
Mini Prills - I'm Amazed
Tim Holtz Thinlit Dies - Holiday Words Script

Thanks for dropping by, have a wonderful day.  Until next time happy crafting.

Mermaid Dreams...

Hi everyone  I am  popping in today to share with you my latest card.

For this card I wanted an oceany feel to compliment my image.

I die cut a circle through the two top layers  using a die from Lawn Fawn - Large Stitched Circles, then die cut two circles with a Memory Box Die - Shaker Circles (not currently listed in store), these were then nestled inside the circle to create the illusion of a Porthole.  I then attached small pearls around the centre.

For my image I have used a stamp from My Besties called Steampunk Mermaid Dreams  which is so cute and have coloured her with Copic Markers.

For the background  I have used a newly aquired stencil from Dusty Attic called Fish Net  and then coloured it with Distress Inks in Evergreen Bough and Salty Ocean.

.  I have also used Frantage Shabby Blue embossing enamel for some of the background stamping, together with Momento London Fog for the Seahorse, both images are from a Kaiser clear stamp called Coastal Escape.

The sentiment is a die from Penny Black and is called Celebrations.

Thanks for popping in, have a fabulous week.

Until next time - Happy Crafting

Christmas Joy Shaker....

Today I am sharing my first Christmas Card for 2016.

I have used one of my favourite go to dies from Avery Elle - Wonky Stitches.  A new die to my collection is from Poppy Stamps and is called Joy Tag and a favourite for Christmas Memory Box Die - Shimmering Snowflakes.

To create my shaker card I cut the tag die twice, once in cardstock and the other from white foam sheeting.  They were then adhered together and a piece of acetate added underneath.  I then cut away the area under the tag from the die cut base added my red and green bling and some glass beads, then sealed it up.

The shimmering snowflake die cut was painted with matt medium and then sprinkled with Diamond Dust, allowed to dry and then layered together and a small pearl placed on top.

There are lots of new goodies been added to Bizzy Becs online store, so pop on over and check them out.

Thanks for dropping by, until next time - Happy Crafting

Yesterday in Perth was so cold and wet, it was a perfect day to sit inside and colour.

She has been coloured with Copics and Prisma Pencils and was such fun to colour.  I have also used Card Embellishment Kit No. 8 and she has been printed onto Copic Paper (Bec has a similar product in store Neenah Cardstock) and  then die cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities die - Fleur De Lis Squares.  The sentiment is a freebie and available here from the store blog.

The stocktake sale is still on but only for a limited time so drop by the store for all your crafty needs.

Take Time ....

Hi everyone, today I am sharing with you a card made for the new challenge that has started today over at Bizzy Becs.

I have been playing with my Darkroom Door stamps which have not been off the shelf for a while now, so thought it was time for them to be used again.

I used the Frame Stamp which I then coloured with Walnut Stain Distress Inks and then using the Coffee Stain Stamp and Black Soot stamped randomly onto the frame.  I still have some Tim Holtz  Rock Candy crackle paint which I then painted over the frame.  When the frame was dry I lightly inked the edges with Walnut Stain.

The Clock and the sentitment are from the Tick Tock Set.  The clock face was inked with Old Paper and also painted with crackle paint, then when dry I inked the surface with Walnut Stain.
After stamping the senitment I lightly inked the background with Antique Linen distress ink.

The Happy Birthday senitment is an old set from Stampin Up - Basic Phrases.

String, Feather, Hessian Ribbon are from my own stash.

These items are available to preorder via Bizzy Becs
Darkroom Door Stamps - Tick Tock, Coffee Stain and Frame Stamp
Lawn Fawn Die - Small Stitched Rectangle Stackables

"Remember if it is not listed just drop Bec an email and she will see if  can be ordered in for you."

Thanks for dropping by.

Until next time - Happy Crafting

Happy Easter ......

Well it will be in a few weeks and I am very much looking forward to eating a hot cross bun.  This is one of the things I love most about Easter (apart from chocolate and spending time with my family) is making my own buns and serving them fresh from the oven.

Today as I write this post I am looking through the windows overlooking my parents garden.  There is a gentle breeze and the skies are blue and little birds are hopping through the branches of the shrubs, magpies are caroling in the morning  and a Wattlebird  is having an early morning bath in the bird bath.  So nice and relaxing, being in the country.

Well it is March and that means it is time for a new challenge over at Bizzy Becs  and I now share with you my card made for this challenge, together with a little description on how I made the shaker card.

I have used the following which are available to pre order via Bizzy Becs on-line store.

Lawn Fawn  Clear Stamps and matching Die  - Eggstra Special Easter
Lawn Fawn Die - Small Stiched Rectangle Stackables
Memory Box Die - Shaker Circle Frames
Spellbinders - Standard Circles Small

The Easter basket and bunny have both been coloured with Copic Markers and then accents added with my Sakura Gelly Roll Pens.  The flower spray is made up from flowers some previously purchased from Bizzy Becs and the rest from my own stash.

To make the shaker I die cut the Shaker Circles 6 times out of white cardstock then using a liquid glue, stuck them altogether.  For the outside layer I die cut a circle from Bazzill to match the card front.
Before adhering it I added a die cut circle from acetate then glued on the top layer.

I filled the centre of the shaker with multi coloured sequins, glass beads and prills (all from my own stash) and then glued the underside of the circle stack to my card front.

Don't forget to pop on over to the store and check out all the new arrivals including the new range of flowers and embellishments.

Thanks for dropping by.

I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend with your family and friends.

Until next time

Happy crafting
