Popping in today to share with you a quick card that I made by using left over bits of patterned paper and cardstock.
(You know the ones I mean, the ones that you can't bring yourself to throw out)

Happy Easter ......

Well it will be in a few weeks and I am very much looking forward to eating a hot cross bun.  This is one of the things I love most about Easter (apart from chocolate and spending time with my family) is making my own buns and serving them fresh from the oven.

Today as I write this post I am looking through the windows overlooking my parents garden.  There is a gentle breeze and the skies are blue and little birds are hopping through the branches of the shrubs, magpies are caroling in the morning  and a Wattlebird  is having an early morning bath in the bird bath.  So nice and relaxing, being in the country.

Well it is March and that means it is time for a new challenge over at Bizzy Becs  and I now share with you my card made for this challenge, together with a little description on how I made the shaker card.

I have used the following which are available to pre order via Bizzy Becs on-line store.

Lawn Fawn  Clear Stamps and matching Die  - Eggstra Special Easter
Lawn Fawn Die - Small Stiched Rectangle Stackables
Memory Box Die - Shaker Circle Frames
Spellbinders - Standard Circles Small

The Easter basket and bunny have both been coloured with Copic Markers and then accents added with my Sakura Gelly Roll Pens.  The flower spray is made up from flowers some previously purchased from Bizzy Becs and the rest from my own stash.

To make the shaker I die cut the Shaker Circles 6 times out of white cardstock then using a liquid glue, stuck them altogether.  For the outside layer I die cut a circle from Bazzill to match the card front.
Before adhering it I added a die cut circle from acetate then glued on the top layer.

I filled the centre of the shaker with multi coloured sequins, glass beads and prills (all from my own stash) and then glued the underside of the circle stack to my card front.

Don't forget to pop on over to the store and check out all the new arrivals including the new range of flowers and embellishments.

Thanks for dropping by.

I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend with your family and friends.

Until next time

Happy crafting

Hello ....

Hi everyone.

So glad that today is a little cooler and there is currently a very nice sea breeze happening, which is such a pleasant relief after sweltering over the last few days and nights with 40 plus temperatures.

Today I would like to share with you a card made using a  stamp set called Peonies which is by Avery Elle that I have had for a while but today is its first stamping.  It does have a matching die but have yet to add it to my collection.

The image was masked and layered and fussy cut, then coloured using Copic Markers. The centre of the flower has been highlighted with my purple Sakura Jelly Pen.

The background layer is a die  from Memory Box and is called Square Links, I can see this one having lots of uses in the future, love it.  The sentiment is a die and is from Penny Black.

Thanks for dropping by and hope that you have a wonderful week.

Until next time, Happy Crafting.

Celebrate...

Hi everyone Happy New Year.  I hope that you all enjoyed celebrations with family and friends over Christmas and New Year.

It has been so hot and humid here lately, today being no exception is supposed to be high 30's, however looking outside it appears to be overcast and  it is cool.  I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get some rain, weird weather.

Anyway today I would like to share with you my latest card.

The stamp is from Wild Rose Studio and was such fun to colour up using Copics.  I created a little dimension for the centre of the flowers and the dots on the wrapping paper using Liquid Pearls in Buttercup and White Opal.  I then die cut it using Lawn Fawn small Stitched Rectangles.  The sentiment is die cut from Penny Black - Celebrations.

The lattice die cut, patterned paper and doiley is apart of  an old card embellishment kit from Bizzy Becs .

It is the start of a new challenge over at Bizzy Becs, so pop over an join us.

Thanks for dropping by, have a wonderful day.

Happy crafting

Jingle all the way....

Hi everyone

Well here we are 3 days to go, hope all your Christmas preparations are on track.

Yesterday my ktichen table and benches looked like a disaster zone, flour everywhere, packets of this and that and dishes piled high.  By the end of the day I have made the fruit mince for my pies, 2 types of fudge for Christmas gifting and homemade pizza for last nights dinner.  Round two starts today, nougat and Christmas Cakes.

Today I would like to share with you my Christmas Cards made for 2016.

These have been on a production line for a while now and am pleased to say they are finished and ready for posting, albeit a little bit late.

I have used the following items which are available via Bizzy Becs Online Store:

Blue Butterfly Digi Stamps - Little Santa Collection - Little Santa With Present
The Following via pre orders
Memory Box Die - Country Landscape
Memory Box Stencil - Tiny Snowflakes
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads - Weathered Wood & Tumbled Glass

These items are from my own stash:
Tim Holtz  Thinlits - Holiday Words Script
Tombow pens
Stickles - Diamond
Liquitex - Soft Modeling Paste
Aleenes - True Snow
Glossy Accents

The santa was printed out onto watercolour paper, coloured with Tombows and then fussy cut.  The background is also on watercolour paper with soft modelling paste through the stencil and the sky was using a smoosh technique, followed by stickles onto the snowflakes.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

Until next time, Happy Crafting
