Well it will be in a few weeks and I am very much looking forward to eating a hot cross bun. This is one of the things I love most about Easter (apart from chocolate and spending time with my family) is making my own buns and serving them fresh from the oven.
Today as I write this post I am looking through the windows overlooking my parents garden. There is a gentle breeze and the skies are blue and little birds are hopping through the branches of the shrubs, magpies are caroling in the morning and a Wattlebird is having an early morning bath in the bird bath. So nice and relaxing, being in the country.
Well it is March and that means it is time for a new challenge over at
Bizzy Becs and I now share with you my card made for this challenge, together with a little description on how I made the shaker card.
I have used the following which are available to pre order via Bizzy Becs on-line store.
The Easter basket and bunny have both been coloured with Copic Markers and then accents added with my Sakura Gelly Roll Pens. The flower spray is made up from flowers some previously purchased from Bizzy Becs and the rest from my own stash.
To make the shaker I die cut the Shaker Circles 6 times out of white cardstock then using a liquid glue, stuck them altogether. For the outside layer I die cut a circle from Bazzill to match the card front.
Before adhering it I added a die cut circle from acetate then glued on the top layer.
I filled the centre of the shaker with multi coloured sequins, glass beads and prills (all from my own stash) and then glued the underside of the circle stack to my card front.
Don't forget to pop on over to the store and check out all the new arrivals including the new range of flowers and embellishments.
Thanks for dropping by.
I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend with your family and friends.
Until next time
Happy crafting
