Jingle all the way....

Hi everyone

Well here we are 3 days to go, hope all your Christmas preparations are on track.

Yesterday my ktichen table and benches looked like a disaster zone, flour everywhere, packets of this and that and dishes piled high.  By the end of the day I have made the fruit mince for my pies, 2 types of fudge for Christmas gifting and homemade pizza for last nights dinner.  Round two starts today, nougat and Christmas Cakes.

Today I would like to share with you my Christmas Cards made for 2016.

These have been on a production line for a while now and am pleased to say they are finished and ready for posting, albeit a little bit late.

I have used the following items which are available via Bizzy Becs Online Store:

Blue Butterfly Digi Stamps - Little Santa Collection - Little Santa With Present
The Following via pre orders
Memory Box Die - Country Landscape
Memory Box Stencil - Tiny Snowflakes
Tim Holtz Distress Ink Pads - Weathered Wood & Tumbled Glass

These items are from my own stash:
Tim Holtz  Thinlits - Holiday Words Script
Tombow pens
Stickles - Diamond
Liquitex - Soft Modeling Paste
Aleenes - True Snow
Glossy Accents

The santa was printed out onto watercolour paper, coloured with Tombows and then fussy cut.  The background is also on watercolour paper with soft modelling paste through the stencil and the sky was using a smoosh technique, followed by stickles onto the snowflakes.

I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year.

Until next time, Happy Crafting

Noel .......

Hi everyone, 3 weeks to go ... can you believe it,  this year has flown.

Today I would like to share with you my very first Christmas card for this year.  Yes I am a bit behind but I hope to add this one over the next week or so.

For my card I have used a gorgeous stamp from Darkroom Door - Brushed Christmas Vol 2, it is the largest ornament in the set and I thought it would make a great Christmas Tree, so upside down it went.  Have to say I am very happy with the way it turned out.

The snowflake embellishment is a die from Memory Box - Shimmering Snowflakes.

Darkroom Door and Memory Box are available as a preorder by Bizzy Becs online store, together with lots of other goodies.  Supersavers on back on until 5th January 2016 and there are some gorgeous things is Bizzy Becs Choice.

Today is also the start of our new Anything Goes Challenge for December, so get crafty and come on over and join us.

Thanks for dropping by, have a wonderful day.

Mixed Blooms

Hi everyone, wow the year is just flying by too fast.

We are in the last week of the school holidays here in the west and last week I went to the Royal Show with my sister.  The last time was about 18 years ago and I probably won't go again for ages.

We had a fun day looking at all the displays and chatting with owners of dogs at the arena and finished the day off with some yummy gelato.  It was a great day but oh boy my legs were sore the next day.

Today I would like to share with you a card made for this months Bizzy Becs Anything Goes Challenge which starts today.  We have had some beautiful Spring Weather and this card fits in well with all the beautiful flowers that are blooming at the moment.

I have used a stamp set from Taylored Expressions called Mixed Blooms which I coloured up with Copics and a Memory Box Die - Distressed Tag together with a paper doiley.

Taylored Expressions and Memory Box Dies  are all available as pre order via Bizzy Becs online store - here. Paper Doileys  here.

The centre of the flowers have been coloured with my Sakura gelly roll pens for a bit of sparkle, unfortunately this doesn't photograph that well.

Thanks for dropping by, have a fabulous day.

Shaker Card - Best Wishes ....

Hi everyone.

Firstly I would like to wish all the Dads out there a very Happy Fathers Day for Sunday - hope you are all spoilt rotten.

Today I would like to share with you my card made for the new challenge over at Bizzy Becs for the September Challenge.

I am really loving Shaker Cards at the moment and could not resist the temptation of turning the new Darkroom Door stamp - Mason Jar into a shaker - what fun.

I filled it with different coloured sequins , small beads and multi coloured prills.  I picked out the blue  from the prills and added small gemstone beads to the bow to co-ordinate.

Darkroom Door Stamps:  Mason Jar, Daisy & Simple Sayings

Darkroom Door is available as a preorder via Bizzy Becs online store here: So don't forget to pop on over and check all the new releases.

I managed to sneak a bit of time to make a card,  so today I would like to share it with you.

I have used the following:

Stamp set:  Full Bloom Vol 1 - Darkroom Door
Distress Ink Pads: Fired Brick, Barn Door, Shabby Shutters & Forest Moss

Celebrate.....

Hi everyone, today I would like to share with you my card for this months  'Anything Goes' challenge over at Bizzy Becs.

For my card I chose a new stamp that I recently purchased from Bizzy Becs and have been waiting to colour it up.

It is my mums 80th birthday next week and as blue is her favourite colour this was a perfect image to colour for her card.  I am also fairly certain that she won't see this post so it will still be a surprise when she gets its.

I have used copic markers to colour the stamp staying with the BG tones for the flowers with a touch of  greys and YG's for the stems and centres and E08 for highlights on the stems and buds.

Stamp:  C.C. Designs - Himalayan Poppy
Memory Box Die - Shaker Rectangle Frames
(these are available as a pre-order from Bizzy Becs here)

Tim Holtz Alteration Thinlits - Celebration Words
Ribbon, Copic Markers
(from my own stash)

Thanks for popping in, have a wonderful day.

Best day ever ....

Hi everyone, today I am sharing with you a card made for Hubbies birthday using another of the fabulous stamp & die sets from Taylored Expressions called Paw - some.

I have also used Memory Box dies - Small word - Pop Curve to create the hill on which the dog and his friends sit and Cross Stitched Frames.

This dies and stamps are available via pre-order from Bizzy Becs online store HERE.  (remember if you cant see it under the listings drop Bec an email and she will gladly let you know if it can be ordered)

My stamp has been coloured with Copics and I used some blending solution on a cloth to create the texture in the dogs fur  The background sky was created by creating a cloud template and colouring upwards with a light blue copic marker.  I also used a white pen to add highlights to the hats on the chickens.

Thanks for dropping by, hope you day is wonderful

Until next time happy crafting

Happy July

Well winter is on it's way, we have had some freezing mornings lately and lots of heavy fog.  Not huge amounts of rain yet, but hopefully that will pick up and our farmers will get some benefit from it.
Been a crazy week this week, we are a computer down boo hoo.  Picked up a nasty computer  virus during the week and can't seen to shake it and we refuse to be held to ransom by the creators and pay to fix it (thats a big scam) , last resort is to reformat and re-start from a fresh and hope it kills the issue and that we don't lose too much stuff.

Anyhow enough of my dramas onto my card.  It's the 5th of July and the start of brand new challenge at Bizzy Becs, so today I would like to share with you my card created for this months challenge.

Stamp:  Taylored Expressions - Pocket Full Sunshine
Stamp & Die:  Taylored Expressions - Think Happy Thoughts
Die:  Die-namics My Favorite Things - Blueprints 24

These are available to pre order via Bizzy Becs store together with lots of other yumminess.

My image has been coloured with Copics and I have used clear Wink of Stella on the flower centres.

On a brighter note it is school holidays here and yay I have two weeks off which will be so good.  Lots of time for creating and catching up on unfinished craft.

Thanks for dropping by, your comments are really appreciated.

Please check out our DT inspiration this month and join us for our new 'Anything Goes' challenge.

Happy creating

Hi everyone

Well there have definitely been some very small pockets of sunshine over the last week here in Perth, alot less than I  would have liked.  After having beautiful sunny days leading up to last weekend, Autumn is definitely upon us with Winter just around the corner.  It has been freezing.

Yesterday I had a wonderful afternoon spent with a friend at the Perth Quilt and Craft Show at the Perth Convention Centre.  Unfortunately there was not a lot for paper crafters, but did manage to get a few bargains, none the less.

Sunflower Bouquet ....

Hi today I am sharing with you a card I made using a Shaker Frame.  These have been everywhere on my news feeds of late so wanted to have a go too.  Tried it onto an ATC last week and that went ok so decided to go bigger.

There are dies in the market now that take the guess work out of everything and  I have used a set from Memory Box called Shaker Rectangle Frames.  Firstly I attached acetate to the back of the frame then added onto the backing piece the elements that would make up the shaker - ie beads, sequins etc.   To adhere the frame to the base I die cut out of mounting foam another frame and stuck it to the back of the frame.

My image is from Taylored Expressions called Sunflower Bouquet and have had  it for a while and thought it would be a perfect accompaniment to the shaker box and perfect as a Mothers Day card and have coloured it with copic markers.  On the centres of the sunflowers there is copper coloured glitter but it is a bit hard to see.

The senitment is from my own stash and is a Stampin Up stamp.

There is a sale on a Bizzy Becs until the 8th of May, still a few days to go, so pop on over for all your crafty needs.

Also the start of our new challenge 'Anything Goes' so pop over to see the Design Team's inspiration for this month and join our challenge.

Until next time

Happy Anniversary

Today I am sharing with you a card I made using Memory Box Dies.  It was designed for a male recipient, in this case my husband as we recently celebrated our 26th wedding anniversary.

To create the scene I used Nestled Birds, Grove Branch and Mini Heart Collection dies from Memory Box and the hearts were inked with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink Pad.  These dies and Ink Pads are available to order from Bizzy Becs online store here together with lots of other yummy goodies.

The sentiment is from my own stash and is an old set of stamps from Stampin Up.

This month is definitely slipping away quickly but there is still time left to join us for this months "Anything Goes Challenge" here and be in the running to win  a prize.

We have another long weekend coming up this weekend so have a great weekend.

Happy Birthday

*   Not sure what happened but this didn't post when it should have done, whoopsie!!  *

Hi everyone, well the holidays for me are coming to an end sadly and it is back to school in a week, I have very much enjoyed not having to rush around in the morning and instead have had very relaxing mornings and enjoyed the time  cooking and catching up with family and friends.

Over the holidays we have been working around the house catching up with unfinished projects and as I type this am slowly getting the feeling back in my right hand.  Spent most of a day filling in holes and gaps in the kitchen.  Oh my,  talk about dead hand can hardly use it, and extremely sore but on the bright side there are no more gaps...

Today I would like to share with you a card I made using Darkroom Door Stamp - Full bloom V1, Distress Ink Pads in Picked Raspberry, Worn Lipstick, Peeled Paint and Crushed Olive.  These are all available to pre order together with lots of new goodies at Bizzy Becs online store.
