Celebrate ....

Hi everyone.

Dropping in today as it is the 5th of the month and that means it is the start of the new challenge month over at Bizzy Becs.

My card that I am sharing was created to celebrate our son's 30th birthday and I love how it came together.  The new Tim Holtz colorize die Celebrate was a perfect addition to my stash together with the Alphanumeric Emporium dies and just had to use them to create this card.

First I chose different colours of blue and cream cardstock for the cake and after sorting my dies, cake parts together, balloons together etc, I put them onto magnetic sheets and put them back into the folder I then die cut all the parts needed for the cake.

I embossed my blue cardstock next with the Numbered texture fade from Tim Holtz as it was a perfect addition to this card and put it all together after inking edges with walnut stain.

I then cut out 3 of each of the sentiment using the new alphanumeric emporium dies from Tim Holtz from a shiny brown cardstock and glued them together

Happy Halloween....

Hi everyone.

Today is October 31st and in Australia many people will celebrate all things Halloween.

I have created a card using one of the older digitals from Bizzy Becs store and mixed it with some stencils from my own stash, some clear embossing powder, coloured texture paste and distress oxides.  I have coloured my image with prisma coloured pencils.

To create my background I first sponged through my stencil with the Ranger Embossing Dauber to create a border of spider webs.  I embossed each one individually with clear embossing powder, before moving on to the Distress Oxides. Starting with Uncharted Mariner, then Tumbled Glass and finally Twisted Citron.  I then edged my card with the Black Soot Distress Ink Pad.  I then inked through my bat stencil with the Black Soot to add a few bats .  Finally I gently buffed the surface to expose the embossed areas.

Lastly I used liquitex Light Modelling Paste mixed with a little black gesso to create my spiders, which were on the Spider Web Stencil from my stash.

I had so much fun creating this background.

Supplies used:

Bizzy Becs Digital Stamp - Goth Angel Goth

Tim Holtz Distress Ink Set #3 - Black Soot

Cody on a Swing...

 Hi everyone.

Popping in today to share a new card with you all and to let you know that it is also the start of the new challenge month over at Bizzy Becs.

For my card today I have used one of the older Digital Stamps from the Boyz will be Boyz collection called Cody on a swing.   My card is as I type winging its way to my Great Nephew who recently turned 3.  Sorry guys its is going to be late, still getting my head around the length of time it takes for mail to get to Canada from Australia.

I have fussy cut the image and attached it under the frame with a very small split pin.  I got my inspiration for this from a card I saw recently created by  Melissa Goodman who made her elephant on her card move.    Sadly I haven't taken a video of how the swing moves from side to side, but have photographed its different positions.

Supplies used:

Bizzy Becs Digital Stamp from Boyz will be Boyz collection - Cody of a Swing

Brushstoke Flowers # 3....

Hi everyone, dropping in today to share my latest inspiration.

Wow can you believe it, we are in June already and the start of winter, not that we have had much rain yet, but it has been so cold.  I think we about  had  3°C overnight, brrr.

It is also the start of a new challenge month over at Bizzy Becs and for my card I have used some product by Tim Holtz and sizzix and was inspired by a card I saw by Juliana Michaels of 17turtles.com .

For my background I first embossed my cardstock using my 3d Texture Fade - Typewriter, then smooshed the background with some Distress Oxide in  Bundled Sage.  When completely dry I brushed over the raised areas of the card and edges with Distress Ink in Walnut Stain.

My flowers were cut three times in three different colours for each flower and after I chose the combination I wished to use, I inked around each piece with Walnut Stain and glued them together. To create some dimension I glued a second layer under the main flower and slightly off set it.  For the centre of the flowers I covered them with Dimensional Magic and sprinkled  them with 13 @rts Gold XS microspheres.

Supplies used:

Sizzix  by Tim Holtz Thinlits Die - Brushstroke Flowers # 3
Sizzix by Tim Holtz 3D texture fade - Typewriter
Tim Holtz Distress Mini Ink Cubes - Set # 3 Walnut Stain

Cosmos Trio....

 Hi everyone.

Dropping in today as it is the 5th of the month today and that means it is the start of a new challenge over at Bizzy Becs Store Blog.

For my inspiration this month I have been looking at youtube and have been inspired by one of Jennifer McGuire's latest videos and decided to have a go.  As I wanted to use a digital stamp instead of an acrylic one, after much searching, was able to do what I wanted and am very happy with the placements of the digital stamp.

I love how easy this technique is and how well it came together, it was quite fun and not to messy.  If you watch the video you will see what I mean.  I went with her second idea.

Festive Bouquet - Happy New Year...

Hi everyone.

Dropping in today to share with you my latest creation using a new Tim Holtz die and some Mica Sprays, it is also the start of our new challenge month over at Bizzy Becs Challenge Blog.

I just love how everything came together so easily.  All the flower and leaf pieces have been cut from Watercolour Paper and then sprayed with Mica Sprays a couple of times to increase intensity of the colours.  Once dry I then used Distress Ink in Walnut Stain around the outside of some of the pieces.

The circle frame and sentiment have been cut from silver foil cardstock and love how it makes everything pop.

Trees...

Hi popping in today to share a new card.

I have been mulling this idea around for some time on how I would use the Tim Holtz thinlits dies - Stacked Hexagons that I have in my stash.  The card didn't turn out quite like I anticipated, but I was happy with the result.

After stamping out the trees on my inked background I cut them out with the Hexagon dies and then edged them with the Finnabair Aged Brass wax.  This made the image pop.
