A Bit of Gold and a Spotlight Stamping Technique....

Hi everyone.

Just popping in today to share a couple of cards with you.  The first was a card created for the start of the current months challenge over at Bizzy Becs.

For my card I have die cut a mask from a Tim Holtz Thinlits Die - Bouquet and applied Heidi Swapp Clear Texture Paste through the mask.  Once dried I have placed a sheet of gold foil over the top and run it through my laminator.  Just love the effect.

Supplies used:

Stampinbella Stamp -  Garden Girl Violet
Lawn Fawn Die - Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables
Sue Wilson Die - Mini Shadowed Sentiments - Just Because
Sizzix Die - Tim Holtz - Bouquet
Momento Ink - Tuxedo Black
Copic Markers
Heidi Swapp - Clear Texture Paste
Craft Gold Foils

My second card is one that I created after being inspired by a youtube video I recently watched by Jennifer Macquire on her Spotlight Stamping Technique.

The Stamp Set I used for this technique is from Darkroom Door and I have not thought of using it this way before, luckily it had three different tulip stamps within the set and has worked perfectly.

supplies used:

Darkroom Door Rubber Stamp - Full Bloom Vol 1
Darkroom Door Rubber Stamp - Happy Birthday
Lawn Fawn Die - Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables
Memento Ink - Rose Bud, Pistachio, Olive Grove and Tuxedo Black
Embossing Powder, Accents, Stickles and gloss pen from my own stash

Stitched Flowers.....

Hi everyone, dropping by today to share with you my latest card for the May Challenge starting today over at Bizzy Becs.

For this card I had a play with some Post It tape and created a mask for my flowers so that I could then use Distress Oxides to colour my cardstock.  I choose Tattered Rose as my background colour.  After removing the mask I then coloured up the stamped images with Copic Markers and high lighted the flower centres with my Signo Pen in Gold and White.  I have to say I am more than pleased with the result.

A Bouquet of Wishes....

Hi everyone

Its time for a new challenge over at Bizzy Becs and today I would like to share with you my card for this months challenge.

I have used the following:

Spellbinders die - A2 Devine Eloquence
Penny Black Stamp - Blooming Garden
Penny Black Stamp - Gratitude
Copic Markers
Viva Pearl Pen - Cream

The Spellbinders die is new to my stash and I have to say I like the card creator die.  After cutting the largest one in white card stock, it was then cut again in the dark pink bazzill and I then cut off the lacy border so that it sat inside the base.  I used the same pink to sit underneath the bottom layer.  The other  lacey layers were cut from Copic cardstock and then layered onto the base once stamped and coloured using Copic Markers.

Thanks for popping by.

Don't forget to join us for this months challenge and also check out the store as there an end of financial  year sale on now.

Until next time, Happy Crafting

Mermaid Dreams...

Hi everyone  I am  popping in today to share with you my latest card.

For this card I wanted an oceany feel to compliment my image.

I die cut a circle through the two top layers  using a die from Lawn Fawn - Large Stitched Circles, then die cut two circles with a Memory Box Die - Shaker Circles (not currently listed in store), these were then nestled inside the circle to create the illusion of a Porthole.  I then attached small pearls around the centre.

For my image I have used a stamp from My Besties called Steampunk Mermaid Dreams  which is so cute and have coloured her with Copic Markers.

For the background  I have used a newly aquired stencil from Dusty Attic called Fish Net  and then coloured it with Distress Inks in Evergreen Bough and Salty Ocean.

.  I have also used Frantage Shabby Blue embossing enamel for some of the background stamping, together with Momento London Fog for the Seahorse, both images are from a Kaiser clear stamp called Coastal Escape.

The sentiment is a die from Penny Black and is called Celebrations.

Thanks for popping in, have a fabulous week.

Until next time - Happy Crafting
