Daisy Bed....

Hi everyone.

Popping in today to share my latest card.

For my card I have used a 3D Botanical Embossing Folder from Altenew and embossed onto watercolour cardstock.  The embossed areas of the cardstock have then been watercoloured using my Altenew Watercolour Brushes in size 0 and 2 which are available in a 4 brush set and are presented in a lovely pouch to keep them safe.

Today I used my Karin Brush Markers to colour my embossed flowers.  Whilst the process was quite time consuming, it was relaxing colouring with them and was actually surprised how much time it actually took.

Paint a Flower - Fashion Monger Dahlia...

Hi everyone.

Just dropping in today to share my latest card.

Today I have been playing with my newly acquired Altenew 24 half pan Watercolour Set and the Fashion Monger Dahlia.

I first applied the stamp to my Watercolour paper on the top and bottom and then applied a thin wash of  the light green to the background and onto the leaves.  I then slowly added more colour using the darker greens and some Cherry Blossom.  My flowers were painted with Cherry Blossom and  Shades of Purple in varying layers until I was happy with the look.  I added a touch of  Cool Summer night to the leaves and to the background as a splatter.

I finished off the background by spattering a little Liquitex White Acrylic Ink as the the white watercolour vanished into the background, then stamped my sentiment.

Supplies used:

Altenew Stamp a Flower - Fashion Monger Dahlia

Altenew Stamp - Sketchy Floral (Sentiment)

Altenew 24 half pan Artists Watercolour set

Lawn Fawn Die - Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables

Watercolour pad - Ranger

Celebrate Us....

Hi everyone popping in today to share my latest card.

I recently purchased this 3D embossing folder from Altenew and have wanting to try it out but wasnt sure what to pair it with.  So I had a play and am happy with the resulting creation.

I cut my frame 3 times with the top layer being Bazzill cardstock and glued them together, then centred them over my embossed cardstock.  It was then a case of putting the flower cutouts where I thought they looked the best, adding my sentiment and a few pearls .

Festive Bouquet - Happy New Year...

Hi everyone.

Dropping in today to share with you my latest creation using a new Tim Holtz die and some Mica Sprays, it is also the start of our new challenge month over at Bizzy Becs Challenge Blog.

I just love how everything came together so easily.  All the flower and leaf pieces have been cut from Watercolour Paper and then sprayed with Mica Sprays a couple of times to increase intensity of the colours.  Once dry I then used Distress Ink in Walnut Stain around the outside of some of the pieces.

When everything was totally dry,  I gave the flowers and leaves some shape to create exta dimension.

The circle frame and sentiment have been cut from silver foil cardstock and love how it makes everything pop.
