Looks like Pottery?

Howdy,

Today I would like to share with you a card I made which replicates the look of Pottery.  I saw a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers and looked pretty cool so thought I would give it a go. Must say am pretty chuffed with the result and so was Mum as it was her Mothers Day card.

I have used Spellbinders M-Bossabilities folder Ornamental.  Bizzy Bec's have a range of these folders available for pre-order here.  They are fabulous as you effectively get two folders in one - very cool.

Also used are my Memory Box dies Tiffany Frame, Cherise Label & Prim Poppy.  Memory Box dies are available also from Bec here.

I had some plain silk ribbon in my stash and dyed it using the same ink that was brayered onto the embossing folder  for the background, although it came out much darker I think it still tones well.  I also added a touch of stampin up shimmer paint onto the poppies so that it stood out a bit more from the background.

Thanks for dropping by.

Happy crafting

Its Purple and Bling time

Wow, can't believe that holidays are over and its back to work for me tomorrow.  Two weeks have just flown by.  I have however spent time in the country with my parents and had a crafty day with friends and lots of relaxing time. Luckily this next term is a short one so before I know it will be holidays again.

Its time for another challenge at Bizzy Becs.  This month the theme is 'Purple and Bling' and is by our DT gal Sally

We also have a fabulous prize on offer kindly donated by Bec at Bizzy Becs Online Store

Tri Boss Embossing folder -  Ticket Stubs.

For my take on this months challenge I have chosen  an image from the Blue Butterfly Digi Stamps Birthday Collection called  'A Present to You' and you can find her here. She has been coloured with copics.

I have also used Spellbinder dies Floral Oval and Petite Ovals, some flowers, ribbon and bling from my stash.

Coming up very shortly we have a very special birthday in our family and this card has been made especially for that occasion.

Thanks for visiting and I look forward to seeing your entries this month.

Happy creating
