Gosh I can't believe that it has been nearly two weeks since I last posted...ooh wah the time has just flown. Anyway I have been busy creating. For a long time now I have wanted to make/decorate an advent calendar. I knew that it wouldn't interest my son as he way past that so after discussing it with the classroom teacher and getting the OK this is what I came up with.
Here are a few closeups
I used the new Kaiser advent calendar kit together with papers from the Kaiser Christmas Carnival collection. My tree is a Christmas decoration and the santa is a pick that I purchased from Spotlight and just removed the skewer from the base. I filled each drawer with a candy cane and a chocolate coin. When I presented it to the class yesterday the children were just delighted and couldn't wait until today to start the calendar.
Thanks for dropping by and having a look. Have a wonderful day.
Karen
o I so love yours with all it's fun and colour - mine is so boring now cause it needs more colour and dimension - bling on my tree I say!
ReplyDeleteKaren this is such a beautiful Advent Calendar. True Christmas colours!
ReplyDeleteOh Karen, this is GORGEOUS! I don't blame the kiddies for hassling you each afternoon to open a drawer! What a wonderful job!

Hi Karen - I've been having trouble accessing your blog. Not your fault - my computer is 8 years old and getting temperamental! Can't wait for mum and dad to come in Feb with a new one. Anyway, finally got it working alright today and I LOVE your Advent calendar! I'm having much fun getting back into scrapping land, and hope to "play" with you all again some time :)
