A Bit of Gold and a Spotlight Stamping Technique....

Hi everyone.

Just popping in today to share a couple of cards with you.  The first was a card created for the start of the current months challenge over at Bizzy Becs.

For my card I have die cut a mask from a Tim Holtz Thinlits Die - Bouquet and applied Heidi Swapp Clear Texture Paste through the mask.  Once dried I have placed a sheet of gold foil over the top and run it through my laminator.  Just love the effect.

Supplies used:

Stampinbella Stamp -  Garden Girl Violet
Lawn Fawn Die - Outside In Stitched Rectangle Stackables
Sue Wilson Die - Mini Shadowed Sentiments - Just Because
Sizzix Die - Tim Holtz - Bouquet
Momento Ink - Tuxedo Black
Copic Markers
Heidi Swapp - Clear Texture Paste
Craft Gold Foils

My second card is one that I created after being inspired by a youtube video I recently watched by Jennifer Macquire on her Spotlight Stamping Technique.

The Stamp Set I used for this technique is from Darkroom Door and I have not thought of using it this way before, luckily it had three different tulip stamps within the set and has worked perfectly.

supplies used:

Darkroom Door Rubber Stamp - Full Bloom Vol 1
Darkroom Door Rubber Stamp - Happy Birthday
Lawn Fawn Die - Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables
Memento Ink - Rose Bud, Pistachio, Olive Grove and Tuxedo Black
Embossing Powder, Accents, Stickles and gloss pen from my own stash

Until next time - Happy Crafting

Baby Koko and Ladybug...

Hi everyone, dropping in today to share my latest card with you all.

I have used one of Bizzy Becs newest Digital Stamps and my card is for a special little someone, who will be turning two in the coming weeks.  Koko was lots of fun to colour  using  my Copics and I have highlighted the ladybug by adding some 3D crystal lacquer.

I also added some star sequins to the trim of the party hat and a little dot of  Diamond Stickles to each centre.   There is also a hint of Nuvo Glitter  Gloss on each balloon.

I am very happy with how my card turned out by using pink and greys.

Supplies used:

Bizzy Becs Digital Stamp - Baby Koko and Ladybug
Taylored Expressions Die -  Party Hat
Taylored Expressions Die - Up, Up and Away Cutting Plate
Taylored Expressions Die  and Stamp - Simple Strips Background
Dress My Crafts - Angel Mix Sequins
(from my own stash)
Paper Rose Studio Die - Mini Alphabet & Numbers

Thanks for looking.

Until next time - Happy Crafting

Stitched Flowers.....

Hi everyone, dropping by today to share with you my latest card for the May Challenge starting today over at Bizzy Becs.

For this card I had a play with some Post It tape and created a mask for my flowers so that I could then use Distress Oxides to colour my cardstock.  I choose Tattered Rose as my background colour.  After removing the mask I then coloured up the stamped images with Copic Markers and high lighted the flower centres with my Signo Pen in Gold and White.  I have to say I am more than pleased with the result.

supplies used:
Penny Black Transparent Stamp - Stitched Flowers  (by request)
Sue Wilson Die Creative Expressions - Happy Birthday  (by request)
Memento Ink - Tuxedo
Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Stamp Pad - Tattered Rose
Picket Fence Studio Blender Brushes
Copic Markers, Gold and White Signo Pen

Cherish....

For my inspiration today I have been wanting to get back into the mixed media for while, and having spent the weekend watching lots of different artists, it has inspired me to get back into it.  I have thoroughly enjoyed completing my mixed media art tag.

I have used some old inks, gesso, 3rd texture beads, patterned paper, a feather, heshion, some sewing and stamps from Darkroom Door to complete my tag, which is on corrugated cardboard.

There are so many things to cherish and be grateful for, now more than ever, so  when I found this very old chipboard title I knew that I had to use it on my tag.

supplies used:

Darkroom Door Stamp - Hearts
Darkroom Door Stamp - French Script
Darkroom Door Stamp - Robin
Ranger Archival Ink Pad - Jet Black
Ayeeda mists - Pastel Turquoise &  Pearl Turquoise & Patina Bronze
Ayeeda Ink - Yellow Amber

13 @rts - Gold XS Microspheres
Ranger - Muilti Medium Matte
Dina Wakley Media - White Gesso
Tissue Paper, Heshion, Patterned Paper, Music & Book Paper

I hope that everyone is keeping safe in these uncertain and trying times and that you are finding time to be creative.

Until next time - Happy Crafting

Fabulous you.....

Hi everyone, just dropping in today to share my card for the start of this months challenge over at Bizzy Becs.

What a strange, unpredictable time we are all sharing.  I do hope that you and your family are all keeping well and for the crafters out there, able to get a small amount of time to play on your crafty projects.

I have started re organising my craft space albeit very carefully as unfortunately last week I cut my finger on a mandolin and have to be gentle with it until it fully heals.

I chose my elements for my card for ease of use due to my finger and have coloured up the die cut using Distress Oxides.

Supplies used:

Sizzix Thinlits Tim Holtz - Wildflower Stems # 1
Sue Wilson Mini Expressions die - Fabulous
Pink Fresh Studio (Stamped Sentiment) - Just a Little Lovely
Tim Holtz Distress Oxides - Worn Lipstick,Tattered Rose, Crushed Olive, Mowed Lawn,
Fossilized Amer & Ground Espresso

Thank you for taking the time to visit

Virtual hugs - take care

Until next time - Happy Crafting
